With more than 1000 job search sites online, there’s something
for everyone - even if your idea of high-technology is a
fax machine. In fact, stereotypical "techies" are no longer
the most likely group to search for jobs online. A 1999 survey
by CareerMosaic.com shows that more managers and sales professionals
are looking for jobs online than any other group surveyed.
Of the 1000+ sites out there, a dozen stand out as the best
in terms of job listings or other services, such as relocation
data or salary updates. We’ve also included "metasearch" sites
that may or may not list their own jobs, but go out and search

job search boards, it lists nearly 1.5 million jobs across
the country. Created and maintained by the U.S. Department
of Labor, AJB also includes Career InfoNet, which details

the top of the commercial job search sites with about 500,000
jobs, monster.com offers exceptionally effective breakdowns
to identify the jobs most likely to meet your needs. Sign
up for a "search agent" and receive emails when new jobs
are posted. (Also used as the basis for AOL’s job search
function.)

as the fastest-growing job search site on the web with about
200,000 jobs, this site includes a number of work-at-home
and computer-based jobs.

by newspapers - where classified ads have long been a mainstay
of any successful job search - this site includes more than
300,000 jobs. Registered users can save refined searches
to make checking in easy.

easy-to-use site that breaks jobs down into "channels" where
searches can be centered, it also includes salary surveys
and relocation information.

in the state's private sector. This site includes NationJob's
