Funding Amount: Award ceiling: $195,000.
Eligibility: Eligible applicants include: State designated agencies; nonprofit agencies working in collaboration with a State designated agency; and local agencies working in collaboration with a State designated agency. Applicant must be a novice applicant.
Description: The purpose of the Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers program is to provide grants for vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities who are migrant and seasonal farmworkers, as determined in accordance with rules prescribed by the Secretary of Labor, and to the family members who are residing with
such individuals (whether or not such family members are individuals with disabilities).

Standing Announcement for the Ethnic Community Self-Help Program

Funding Source: Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR)
Funding Amount: Awards: 3 to 8; Award ceiling: $200,000; Floor: $50,000.
Eligibility: ORR is interested in applications from national, regional (multi-state) or local refugee community organizations that address community building, facilitate cultural adjustment and integration of refugees, and deliver mutually supportive functions such as information exchange, civic participation, resource enhancement, orientation and support to newly arriving refugees (and other refugees that maybe in need of such assistance regardless of their resettlement date) and public education to the larger community on the background, needs and potential of refugees.
Description: connect newcomer refugees and their communities with community resources. The objective of this program is to strengthen organized ethnic communities comprised and representative of refugee populations to ensure ongoing support and services to refugees after initial resettlement.

Wilson/Fish Alternative Program

Description: Proposes alternative approaches to providing integrated services and cash assistance to refugees. Projects will be accepted under either of two categories: (1) Projects to establish or maintain a refugee program in a State where the State is not participating in the refugee program or is withdrawing from the refugee program or a portion of the program; and (2) projects to provide an alternative to the existing system of assistance and services to refugees.

Supplemental Services for Recently Arrived Refugees

Funding Source: The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR)
Funding Amount: 10-20 awards. Total program funding: $4,300,000; Ceiling: $500,000; Floor: R75,000.
Eligibility: Public or private nonprofit agencies are eligible applicants.
Faith-based and community organizations that meet the statutory eligibility requirements are eligible to apply under this announcement
Description: To provide services to arriving refugees or sudden and unexpected large secondary migration of refugees where communities are not sufficiently prepared in terms of linguistic or culturally appropriate services. ORR invites applications that propose seventeen (17) month projects for a minimum of 100 refugees annually. Examples of situations for which applicants may request funds for grants under Supplemental Services for Recently Arrived Refugees are as follows: (1) Refugee services do not presently exist or the service capacity is not sufficient to accommodate significant increases in arrivals; and (2) the existing service system does not have culturally and linguistically compatible staff.

Healthy Florida's Sapphire Awards

Funding Source: Blue Foundation
Funding Award: Up to 3 awards; each will receive up to $120,000 to recognize and further their work.
Eligibility: Each program must be nominated by three individuals familiar with its work.
Description: The Sapphire Award is designed to recognize and promote programs that have demonstrated excellence and impact in improving the health-related outcomes of Florida's at-risk populations and communities. The Award's recognition of effective initiatives is meant to promote greater and more lasting support for improved services and systems that can be sustained over time. Strategies that build on community assets, enhance organizational capacity, foster systemic change, and/or lead to lasting policy changes that improve health will be especially sought after for this Award. Successful nominations will support the goals of The Blue Foundation for a Healthy Florida.

Community Partnership Award

Funding Award: Recognizes ten organizations and produces a documentary video of the award-winning partnership. This video is a valuable tool in the partnership's efforts to educate, inform and provide a model of coordinated action for others to emulate.
Eligibility: nonprofit organizations
Description: The Mutual of America Community Partnership Award recognizes outstanding nonprofit organizations in the United States that have shown exemplary leadership by facilitating partnerships with public, private or social sector leaders who are working together as equal partners, not as donors and recipients, to build a cohesive community that serves as a model for collaborating with others for the greater good. To be considered for the Mutual of America Community Partnership Award, an organization must complete an application and provide a typewritten statement, not to exceed three pages in length, which addresses the following criteria: A description of the partnership and the role of each partner; an explanation of how the partnership was started; the duration of the partnership to date (a minimum of one year); a demonstration that the partnership has made a difference; the ability of the partnership to be replicated and stimulate new ideas in addressing social issues; and the partnership's commitment to advancing the mission and principles of the applicant organization.

Financial Education Programs

Funding Source: FINRA Investor Education Foundation
Funding Amount: There is no set minimum or maximum grant amount
Eligibility: The Foundation will award grants to entities designated as tax-exempt according to Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) and state and other public colleges and universities. The Foundation accepts grant proposals from persons of any race, color, creed, age, sex, disability, and national or ethnic origin.
Description: Funds research and/or educational projects that support its mission of providing underserved Americans with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary for financial success throughout life. In 2008, the foundation is especially interested in applications that focus on the following areas: new marketing and distribution channels for financial and investor education; helping Americans manage their finances and investments in retirement; meeting the financial and investor education needs of underserved audiences; and using behavioral finance to improve saving and investing.
Of particular interest to the Foundation are projects that: Expand the body of knowledge and/or provide practical materials that will have a positive impact on investor education or protection, Research methods to improve disclosure to investors about investments and financial services, Encourage investors to check the background of financial professionals prior to doing business with them, Empower the nation's young people that are about to enter the workforce to better prepare for retirement and to meet other financial goals, Better prepare older Americans for handling their finances during retirement, Encourage women and minority populations to take control of their financial future through investor education, Advance practice, policy, and thought in the fields of investor education and protection.
Application Information: The first step in applying for Foundation funding is the submission of the Project Concept Form. This three-page form assists the Foundation in assessing the applicant’s eligibility for funding and the extent to which the proposed project furthers the Foundation’s current priorities. Recycling Bin Grant Program

Funding Source: Coca-Cola/National Recycling Coalition
Funding Awards: The program offers recycling bins designed for use in various settings - special events, general utility and prestige locations
Eligibility: open to government, civic, school, nonprofit groups, and for-profit companies. Eligible activities include, but are not limited to, establishing or enhancing a recycling collection program. This includes the use of specialized containers at community events or functions, public facilities, and programs or events conducted by applicants.
Description: supports local community recycling programs by providing selected grant recipients with containers for the collection of beverage container recyclables in public settings. Selected grant recipients will receive actual recycling bins instead of funding.
