A draft
federal waiver request (pdf, 21K) is available for review
and comment. In the request the State of Florida is requesting
a waiver from the United States Department of Labor to allow
the
State to replace the current core measures required by the
Workforce Investment Act, Wagner-Peyser Act, Jobs for Veterans
Act, and
Trade Adjustment Assistance Program with the common measures
delineated by recent guidance issued by the federal government
in Training and Guidance Letter 17-05. The waiver, if approved,
would constitute an amendment to Florida’s Strategic
Two-Year Workforce Investment Act Plan for Title I of the Workforce
Investment
Act of 1998 and Wagner Peyser Act. Interested parties have
30 days to review the draft waiver and offer comments. Any
