More good news on the competitive grant front. The US Department of Labor just announced a Prisoner Re-Entry Grant (pdf, 53K) of $660,474 to Opportunities Industrialization Center (OIC) of Broward County, partnered with the Broward Regional Workforce Board, Workforce One Business Services, several loca businesses/industries, the Broward United Way, Broward Community College, and local homelessness and substance abuse services.

The grant supports the existing Second Chance program and leverages local matching funds to help ex-offenders prepare for, enter and retain employment and needed supports. Congratulations to the local team.
