At the request of the Governor’s Faith-Based and Community Organization Advisory Board and Office, Florida’s “CBO-FBO Gateway” maintained by Workforce Florida Inc. (WFI) is adding a new calendar feature to list Florida-specific meetings, conferences, training, and other relevant events and opportunities, including some local and national events of general interest. The calendar will always include all state FBCO Advisory Board and Subcommittee meetings/teleconferences, national events offering value to Florida, and local events of broader appeal. Any local or national events that you would suggest adding to the calendar should be sent to Mark Nelson who will serve as gatekeeper for the Gateway calendar. We do not want to have this list become too filled with listings of limited interest to the state-wide FBCO community and we do not want to be too duplicative of other excellent national and local calendars, such as the White House Faith-Based website or the South Florida calendar maintained by the Family and Children Faith Coalition of South Florida or more specialized calendars such as those maintained by state agencies for their programs.
