Unlocking the Door: Creating Opportunities for Every Worker

We are proud to announce that the US Department of Labor’s FBCI will offer a special post-conference in conjunction with the White House Conference on Faith-Based and Community Initiatives in Miami, Florida.

The 10/19 White House Conference on Faith-Based and Community will provide tremendous opportunities to learn about the President's Initiatives, the federal grants process and opportunities, grant writing, and also will provide opportunities to learn from peer organizations who have successfully partnered with local, state and federal government. One of the topics that will be covered in the White House conference is "Successful Partnerships and Federal Resources for Workforce Development and Ex-Offender Issues." To register for the White House conference, please visit www.fbci.gov.

The focus of this 10/20 post-conference is not funding opportunities, but instead is to share some of the best practices for organizations that are helping people to successfully find and keep jobs. The post-conference is titled, "Unlocking the Door: The Golden Keys for Successful Workforce Development" and requires a separate registration from the White House Conference.

Logistics: 8:30a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Registration begins at 7:30. Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided.
