Conference Agenda
On Friday, March 12, the U.S. Department of Labor's Center
for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (CFBCI) will host
a half-day conference for Workforce Investment Boards (WIBs)
chairs, directors and staff. In response to widespread interest,
panel discussions will focus on how WIBs and One-Stops can
create sustainable collaborations with faith-based and community
organizations to address employment needs in their communities.
The conference is being held in conjunction with the National
Association Workforce Board's Forum 2004. Sessions will feature
DOL senior officials and practitioners from the field. Participants
will learn about CFBCI Touching Lives and Communities pilot
projects and existing programs that have a successful track
record. Senior officials will also provide the latest information
on new grant opportunities and respond to questions from
the audience.
