The HUD SuperNofa can be daunting in its complexity and
sheer volume of options, especially for those of us not already
directly involved in housing and homeless activities. To
help provide a better context for seeing who is already doing
what with these HUD grants, clarify eligibility to apply,
provide a directory of potential partners at the local level
and possibly spotlight some underutilized resources, we have
pulled the following list of HUD grants currently being administered
in Florida. This listing of current Florida HUD grant recipients
provides a very interesting picture of the current distribution
of HUD Grants to counties, Housing Authorities, FBOs, CBOs,
Homelessness Service providers, etc. We can expect most of
these current recipients to apply for continuation funding,
and possibly open to partnering. Feel free to approach them
if you are interested in leveraging/partnering/combining
efforts. Note that most of the SuperNofa applications are
due before July so collaborative planning needs to get under
way rapidly.
