October 23, 2002- Strategic Planning
This workshop will provide a framework for understanding strategic planning.
It will provide definitions of terms such as mission, aspirations, human
resources, and much more. The handout will provide a chart to determine
the current level of development within your organization. Finally, the
workshop will highlight specific examples of organizations that have
been transformed to a new level service to their clients through deliberate
strategic planning.

October 30, 2002- Foundation and Corporation Giving
This workshop will explain how to research foundation and
corporation giving. There are many sources of information on
the internet and in print. We will provide a review of these
options. Many of these applications require a similar format:
cover letter, executive summary, need for the program, program
description, and budget. We will address each of these elements
and teach you how to develop them.

November 6, 2002- Board Development and Individual
Donors
This workshop will describe the roles and responsibilities
of a non-profit board of directors. It will address building,
diversifying, and purging your board to provide maximum assistance
to the staff of your organization. It will also describe how
to solidify and increase your individual donor base.

November 13, 2002- Government Funding
This workshop will take you from the application process through
the management of a Department of Labor grant. It will address
how to read the solicitation for grant applications, how to
organize your application, what is the review process for the
grants, and finally, once you receive a grant, how do you make
sure you manage it properly.

November 20, 2002- Program Evaluation
This workshop will illustrate how to gather and collect data
to be able to evaluate the results and effectiveness of your
program. As more and more non-profits are formed, and they
are competing for the same dollars, donors want to know that
their support will make a difference. We will help you show
that you are.
