Led by Workforce Florida, Employ Florida Banner Centers are a statewide, industry-driven initiative focused on education and training. A keystone of the centers is the partnership among workforce, education, industry and economic development. Through direct input from Florida businesses, the state’s 11 current and planned Banner Centers focus on developing and coordinating educational and training resources to boost the competitiveness of targeted industries that diversify Florida’s economy.
Each of Florida’s 11 Banner Centers aims to:
- Become the statewide nexus for industry knowledge related to workforce needs of a targeted industry.
- Support the pipeline development needs of key Florida industries from entry-level to advanced workers.
- Deliver workforce development products, services, training and access to certifications valued by industry.
- Promote and support economic development in a targeted industry throughout the state.
