WHAT IS EMPLOY FLORIDA?
Employ
Florida links all of Florida’s workforce services--state
and local--to each other. The state partners are Workforce
Florida,
the state policy and oversight board, and the Agency
for Workforce Innovation, the state agency which administers workforce funds.
At the local level there are twenty-four
regional workforce boards that administer close to 100 "one-stop
centers". Together
these organizations represent the Employ Florida network of workforce
services and resources. The state and local boards are composed
of educational, governmental and private business resources to
address local workforce needs.
The Employ Florida website and
toll free number, 866-FLA-2345, provide our customers a consolidated
point of entry to all
of Florida’s quality workforce resources and services. WHO IS THE EMPLOY FLORIDA COMMUNICATION CONSORTIUM?
The Employ Florida Communication Consortium (EFCC), formerly
known as the Workforce Florida Marketing Consortium, is comprised
of representatives from each of Florida’s 24 regional
workforce boards as well as Workforce Florida and the state
Agency for Workforce Innovation. Together the group has developed
the Employ Florida affiliate brand as a tool for businesses
and other customers not familiar with the structure of Florida’s
workforce system and/or a local or state workforce brands
to find workforce services and resources easily by researching
a common name.
Originally formed by the Workforce Florida board One-Stop
Committee to guide the creation of a state brand, the EFCC
has continued
to evolve into a highly interactive forum for the exchange
of best practices, communication problem resolution, staff
development and the sharing of outreach materials.
The EFCC also assists state level staff with the development
of the state-level outreach plan and budget for the Employ
Florida affiliate brand.
Meetings
The EFCC meets quarterly. The day-and-a-half long meetings
are rotated around the state with emphasis on easy access for
the most representatives. The fall quarterly meeting is generally
scheduled in conjunction with Florida’s Workforce Summit.
Resource Room
The EFCC Resource Room is a virtual library of tools, templates,
example advertisements, and best practices provided by the Employ
Florida Communication Consortium representatives. Contact information
is provided when relevant for anyone interested in learning more.
