Workforce Florida Board Learning Series

The Workforce Florida Board Learning Series is designed to enhance members’ strategic ability and provide key, timely information to support consideration of policy issues. Delivered in a webinar-based format, the Learning Series will provide Workforce Florida Board members — and other workforce-system partners and stakeholders who wish to participate — with a leadership briefing on substantive issues in a forum that also will allow for questions-and-answers to facilitate understanding and engagement to advance Workforce Florida’s policy-making role.

Each Workforce Florida Board Learning Series webinar will last from an hour and 30 minutes to two hours and cover topics such as workforce laws and funding, performance, Targeted Occupations List, the Career and Professional Education Act, to cite a few examples. Topics will be presented by Workforce Florida staff and invited guests — local, state and national, as appropriate — with topical expertise to facilitate thorough understanding of the issues as well as the prospective implications of board action. Webinars are being planned during months when there are no scheduled quarterly Board of Directors meetings. Advance briefing materials, when appropriate, will be provided to Workforce Florida Board members electronically prior to each Learning Series webinar and will become available as program agendas are developed. Please feel free to add tentative future Learning Series dates (pdf, 43K) to your calendar (dates are subject to change).
