Governance

Workforce Florida’s Board of Directors (pdf, 419K) is a diverse and engaged group of leaders in business, labor, government, education, economic development and community-based organizations.

Largely appointed by Governor Rick Scott, with four additional appointments by the Senate President and House Speaker, the Board is charged with overseeing the entire state workforce system.

To accomplish its charge, the Board and its host of councils and committees takes a collaborative approach to identifying and addressing the state’s most pressing workforce issues, such as workforce readiness, skills upgrades and re-employment while pursuing new opportunities to bolster Florida’s future economic strength by cultivating the talent needed by targeted sectors that advance innovation and diversify the state’s economy.
